This Is Us is about allyship. To reach our goal of ending violence towards rainbow communities we need champions embedded in every community and organisation throughout Aotearoa – especially in violence prevention organisations. Every person who signs and lives up to this pledge is a force for making the world a safer place for rainbow communities.

The Pledge
I pledge to help end violence towards rainbow communities in the following ways:
- Educate myself as to how I can best support rainbow communities.
- Advocate for the rights of rainbow communities in my workplace(s) and communities.
- Learn about healthy relationships and interpersonal violence, particularly as it impacts rainbow people and communities.
- Work to ensure my workplace, university or school domestic violence policy is inclusive of all rainbow communities.
- Learn bystander intervention skills to safely intervene when I witness a rainbow person being harmed, whether verbally, physically or through decision making.
- Help to promote the This Is Us campaign.
